Curriculum Vitae
Sven Overhage studied Business Administration and Computer Science in a combined course at Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany. He received the M. Sc. (Diplom) in June 2001, and worked at the Business Application Engineering Research Group at Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany, until December 2002.
Since January 2003, he is working at the Business Information Systems and Systems Engineering Research Group at Augsburg University. In June 2006, he received a doctor's degree from Augsburg University for his work on unifying the specification of software components on the basis of software contracts. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral fellow.
From October 2003 until June 2006, he held a graduate scholarship from the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Germany. In addition, he was engaged in various software consulting projects and had/has teaching assignments at Darmstadt University of Technology, the Liechtenstein University of Applied Sciences, and Augsburg University.
He has been repeatedly awarded for his scientific work, amongst others with the Best Paper Award from the International Conference Business Informatics (WI 2005) and a place second at the Microsoft XML Web Service Award 2002.
