Alexander Richter was awarded with the "German young academic talents Knowledge Management Award 2007" for his brilliant thesis at the chair of Business Informatics and Systems Engineering, Prof. Dr. Klaus Turowski on the 11th October 2007.

In his thesis "The integration of knowledge in working processes with the Closed-Loop using the example application systems os/rooms - an approach to negotiate numerous barriers of knowledge management" Alexander Richter deals with the subject of existing shortfalls on implementation of knowledge management and developed a multidimensional  catalog of requirements for knowledge management and knowledge management systems.

It was the third time the workshop Knowledge Management awarded outstanding thesis or master thesis in the field of Knowledge Management since 2005.  The award which is endowed with 1000 Euro was presented during the 5th Karlsruher Symposium for Knowledge Management on the 11th October 2007.

The Jury, chaired by Prof. Dr. Rudi Studer, accentuated in its speech that Alexander Richter  innovatively linked theory and practice in a very good manner and that he convinced the members of the Jury with independently developed approaches for solutions.
