The first international workshop "Modelling of Inter-Organizational Systems" took place in conjunction with the OTM conference 2005 in Agia Napa (Cyprus) from 31^st October - 01^st November 2005.

The co-organized workshop of the working group offered the participants a comprehend theme around the cooperation and interoperability of interplant information systems.

By numerous top class contributions the following questions were addressed:

• How can interplant business processes be modelled?
• How can Inter-Organizational Systems be modelled and implemented?
• What are the resulting challenges for example in e-business?
